Yes, the BBC owns Doctor Who. What they don't own is the creativity involved in editing a song vid. The final product produced by matching certain clips to a song is the property of the vidder. And no, we aren't plagiarizing. This falls under the Fair Use portion of the US Copyright Law. As long as we don't use these videos commercially or ask to be paid for our work, we're allright. Besides, just about every vidder out there acknowledges that Doctor Who isn't their's and does belong to BBC, just to cover ourselves. If you don't yet, you might want to include it in your vids from now on.
